The US Federal Government is the single largest purchaser of ICT products and services in the world.  In addition 'Homeland Security' focus provides opportunities for security and bio-deffense products.  Also Federal institutions such as the National Institutes for Health (NIH) etc provide opportunities for multi-disciplinary technology transfer, collaborative research and sale of product.
