IT and software:
This is an important and rapidly growing sector for Irish trade with Hong Kong and China.  It sector covers a very broad range of companies and applications - from the telecoms industry through the power and computing and internet sectors. Irish strengths in e-Commerce, financial software, encryption, software development tools and eLearning are recognised within Hong Kong. 

Other sectors of interest to Irish companies include the general electronics, power industry, biotechnology and food (particularly seafood) sectors. Medical devices (diagnostic test kits, stents, disposables) are also making inroads into Hong Kong and Chinese markets.
