In December 2008 the Government published an ambitious plan to reorganise Ireland's economy over the next five years. 

The plan sets out a framework to address the current economic challenges to build a 'Smart Economy' with a thriving enterprise sector, high quality employment, secure energy supplies, an attractive environment and first-class infrastructure. 

The detailed plan sets out a range of specific initiatives for the various Government departments and agencies including initiatives for Enterprise Ireland. 

Everything that we are now doing is designed to support the plan.
