About the Programme
Our two-year Graduate Programme aims to provide 20 graduates with in-depth international marketing experience. As an Enterprise Ireland graduate intern, you will have the opportunity to start your career at the coal-face of international business.
Based in our overseas office network, you will be required, after a brief period of training, to contribute to the success of emerging Irish companies in rapidly changing international business environments.
Academic background
This opportunity is open to graduates of primary or postgraduate degrees in various disciplines including:
- Business
- Science
- Social Science
- Manufacturing Technology
- Engineering
who would like to make a career in emerging Irish business. This challenging role requires individuals who are highly motivated with the energy and enthusiasm to deliver projects on their own initiative, an ability to work with others and to communicate clearly and effectively is essential.
Language Requirements
Fluency in German for the placement in Dusseldorf, Russian for Moscow, Italian for Milan and Japanese for Tokyo is required.
A second language is not required for the rest of the locations.
Programme details
Our two-year placement offers graduates the opportunity to start their career with a fast-track international perspective. Gaining experience of a broad range of sectors and industries, graduates conduct market research, identify new markets and key buyers for Irish clients and manage events such as market visits and trade fairs.
Learning and development
Our comprehensive training and development programme commences with a two-week induction programme in Dublin. This includes learning about the role, the activities of our overseas network and the structure and services of Enterprise Ireland. Further training takes place at various times during the two-year programme. This may include market research skills, business writing and intercultural awareness. There are professional skills developments courses designed to meet specific learning and development needs identified through on-the-job coaching and performance reviews.
Selection process
Please note the programme is closed for 2009.
The selection process includes on-line evaluation followed by an assessment process which commences in spring with offers being made in early summer. Graduates joining Enterprise Ireland will begin their placement in Dublin in September 2009 and travel to their overseas locations in UK, Europe, Asia or USA in mid September
